How should I prepare my mixes for Mastering?

Please submit either WAV or AIFF files in their original recording resolution at the highest possible bit depth. I can work with anything sent at a decent level as long as there is no clipping. Remember to remove any Limiters from the Master Bus and double check to make sure that you are sending the final approved mix's.

 

Do you charge for revisions?

No. I'm not happy until you're happy.

 

What is a Vinyl Pre-Master?

A Vinyl Pre-Master is a version of your master that is optimized and ready for the vinyl lacquer cutting stage. This is then cut at the plant or by a special lacquer cutting engineer.

 

Can I attend the session?

Yes! You're always welcome to attend the mastering session. It's a great way for us to get to know each other and you'll have the chance to hear your music on an amazing set of speakers.

 

In what formats will my masters be delivered?

I'm able to deliver your masters in whatever and as many formats as you want. If you're unsure then I'll help you figure out the best way to get your music to the world.

What is DDP ?

A DDP (Disc Description Protocol) is a format used for CD replication. This file allows us to embed CD text, ISRC codes and UPC codes.

 

What are ISRC codes and how do I get them?

ISRC, or International Standard Recording Codes, are 12-digit unique identifiers for your recordings. They allow an artist or label to track sales, airplay and royalties. Many digital distributors can create your ISRC's when you upload your tracks. If you'd prefer to create your own, here are some helpful links:
